After spending eight years working in new construction and safety on the railroad, I took a leap of faith and co-founded Hamilton Flooring & Tile in Salt Lake City, Utah. I didn’t just want to build a business—I wanted to build something meaningful. For me, this company isn’t just about flooring; it’s about foundation—laying down something solid, beautiful, and lasting in people’s lives and homes.
I lead with my heart. Whether I’m feeding people experiencing homelessness, capturing moments with my camera at a foster kids camp, or helping a family transform their home with new floors, everything I do is rooted in love, compassion, and purpose. My faith in God guides my steps, and I truly believe in serving others with honesty, kindness, and respect.
Installing flooring might seem simple to some, but to me, it’s sacred work. A home is the most intimate and personal space in a person’s life, and to be trusted with improving that space is something I never take for granted.
My three kids are my greatest motivation. So is Cylee, our incredible Vice President and my trusted partner in this journey. But perhaps most of all, I’m doing this for the little 8-year-old version of me—the boy who dreamed of a life bigger than his circumstances. This business is my way of proving to him that dreams, when built on faith, grit, and love, can become reality.
